My name is Stéphanie.
I was born in Switzerland, far from the oceans, far from cetaceans… and yet, dolphins have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. Their presence has accompanied me since childhood, like an invisible thread, a quiet certainty. Their image lives in my heart, and the sound of their whistles still echoes within me.
From an early age, I turned to books and documentaries, guided by a deep need to understand them. I knew—without quite being able to explain it—that my path had to contribute to their respect and protection. At that time, life simply did not allow studies in oceanography or marine biology to be part of my journey. My path therefore took other directions, without ever straying far from that inner calling.
In 2015, I encountered dolphins in the wild for the very first time, in New Zealand. That meeting changed everything.
Shortly afterwards, I left Switzerland without a return ticket, choosing to follow this call and to learn directly in the field, as close to the ocean as possible.
To truly know dolphins, it became clear to me that I also needed to understand the marine environment in which they live. My learning began with coral reefs, the very foundations of ocean life. Through volunteering in scientific research, diving and maritime guiding with a focus on sustainable dolphin watching trips, I gained experience across eight different countries, each offering a new perspective on the marine world.
I also trained as a volunteer supporting teams assisting stranded cetaceans. Accompanying a return to the sea—has deeply anchored my commitment.
Today, I continue to expand my skills by specialising in animal communication, acquiring a new range of tools that allow me to convey messages aligned with the needs of dolphins—beings evolving in a world that is changing ever more rapidly.
Dolphin Whisper was born from this journey, slowly nurtured, guided by experience and by the heart.
It is a space to share who dolphins truly are, beyond images and illusions, and to open the way to encounters that are respectful, conscious and deeply aligned with life itself.
